Pioneer Day, June 24th, is a day set apart to remember the day the Mormon pioneers first entered the Salt Lake Valley, led by Brigham Young. Olivia and I were lucky enough to be in Utah to enjoy all the festivities! We began with the parade in Spanish Fork (with my cousin Katie and her boys), had a family barbecue at the park in Provo (with the Ericksons, Brian, my Mom, Lisa, and Grammy & Grandpa), and ended with a spectacular fireworks show in Mapleton (with Uncle Tom, Jenny and Bryce, Brian, Matthew, Lisa, my Mom and our friend Danny). The Spanish Fork had
real floats - and we had a blast yelling for all the royalty to "Show us your shoes!" Mark brought his fire pit, and we roasted hot dogs at the park near Grammy and Grandpa's. We played a couple rounds of Bocce, visited, and all took turns pushing Livi on the swings. Even Maple came out to celebrate with us! What a great day! Thanks to everyone that made it possible.
