A Few Utah Memories

Daddy drove me and Livi to Barstow to meet up with my parents so we could drive up to Utah with them! It was blistering hot. 100+ degrees. We enjoyed some quick McDonalds before getting back on the road. We had planned on a longer stop, but Aaron and I took the wrong Barstow exit and couldn't find the truck stop where we  had told my parents to go! Needless to say, we were a bit frustrated by the time we got to the stop, didn't make our goodbyes easier. We were going to miss Daddy.
We stopped to fill up, and went inside to get some snacks -  and look what we found! Not only is this doll named Olivia but "Lala" is also part of her name! It was meant to be!
We had a blast surprising Grandma and Grandpa Erickson. Olivia and I knocked on the door  and were anxious to see who would answer. Matthew opened the door and said, "What the?!" He was beaming from ear to ear. We snuck to his parents door - Matt knocked and it took him forever to convince his parents to answer! It was so fun to hear their reactions. Debbie couldn't believe it!
Olivia spent the afternoon and evening at Grandma and Grandpa's. She played with Channy and her  friend  in the backyard for well over an hour. She climbed up and down the ladder and jumped on the trampoline.
She was one happy girl!
And as if playing in the backyard wasn't cool enough, Channy showed Olivia the wonders of the front yard! Including all the plants to water! Olivia was in love. I loved how intently she watched her auntie. Watering the plants was a nice distraction, Maple might have nipped Livi earlier - so we needed to keep the two apart for awhile.
Check out the look Livi is giving me through the leaves!
She loved playing the wet dirt - but hated having dirty hands afterwards.
After hours of searching and searching, Lisa finally found a car! I was super temped to buy it myself. Hyundai Tucson, in mint condition! I loved being a little higher up on the road. Definitely need to get me a mini SUV soon. (Hint hint Aaron).
My tech savvy daughter loves to play games and watch her you tube videos on my phone. Pretty darling.
Grammy and Grandpa's toy closet quickly became Livi's toy room. She spent hours (collectively) playing with all the cool "new" toys. Kind of fun to watch my daughter play with the same toys I played with.

Oh she's stylin'.
We were super sad Jordan and Dad had to take off early; we had a sibling night  to take advantage of what little time we had left. Lisa drove us in her new car, we shopped at the mall, and went to Walmart. Whoopee, right? But even though it was simple - we had a blast. I will forever remember the dumb photo booth at the mall.  Yeah, the one with the broken and unresponsive buttons - the one where I crouched with my butt hanging out the curtain while we tried to figure it out - the one that took us 20 minutes to finally get to work. Yeah, that one.
We took Olivia out for her first girls night! We celebrated being together and were so happy Grammy could join us! Nothing like some Olive Garden salad and breadsticks. We even splurged and ordered some calamari - which Olivia loved. What can I say, my daughter has good taste.
