October 2012 Memories

It's been a busy couple of months with pregnancy and traveling, so I'm way behind on blogging. I think this post should finally bring us up to date! Yes! I really do blog more for our own little family history...but it's fun to share what we're up to with family and friends. Here are a few memories from October...

Livi taking her first tow truck ride after our clutch burnt out going over the Grapevine on our way to Livermore. Poor Lala had to ride in the car (yes, the one being towed) because the insurance company screwed up and didn't communicate to the towing company that there were 2 adults and a toddler!!! We ended up staying the night in Castaic while our clutch was replaced.
I think this is us waiting for the Blue Angels at Fleet Week in San Fran!
Livi dunked her face into the pond, cold water! She loves playing in my parents' backyard. This was during our visit to Livermore for Fleet Week the first weekend in October.
Livi loves pushing this little bear on the swing!
Uncle Jordan is so good to show the bugs to Livi, I don't do spiders.
Lala bought Livi bubble wands! They were so much fun to play with in the backyard!
While we were in Livermore, Aaron returned home from a business trip to Turkey. We opted to give him a day to recoup/sleep before we returned home.
Watching the air show during Fleet Week in the City. Seriously amazing day.
Lala took Livi to check out all the big trucks! The photo below is of the truck she sat in!

So cool. Reminds me of the movie Flight of the Navigator.
Livi signing "boat" as we watched the end of the Parade of Ships.
Livi signing "plane".
Watching the air show with 2 of her favorite men!
Mom and I seriously stoked we were about to see the Blue Angels. We've been planning this weekend since last year! We are a little obsessed. :)

Cuddling with Lala. It was chilly out but Olivia refused her hoodie!
They've arrived!!!
After 2 hours of an air show, Olivia was done. She played on my phone (thank you Zoodles) during the entire Blue Angels show!

The show was AMAZING! So much better to be able to stay in ONE place to watch it! Last year we were wandering the City with Josh and Michelle, so we didn't get to see the show, just the occasional fly over.
Here we all be! It really is a great shot of us.
So cool.
Also during this trip we were able to see Jordan perform in the Senior Homecoming Skit. It was hilarious. Each year performed a skit based on a Las Vegas hotel. The Seniors did Circus Circus, it was by far the best skit and Jordan even won an award for the best actor! Everyone couldn't get over how funny Jordan is. He really is our family's best kept secret.

After Olivia's Disneyland birthday weekend, Lisa stayed a few days. We enjoyed an afternoon at the beach, just the 2 of us. It was cold, but nothing beats the beach. We enjoyed yummy Togos sandwiches and Manhattan Beach.
Mom stayed the entire week after Livi's birthday to help me get boxes ready to go into our storage unit (it was a major feat). We celebrated finishing that project with an evening at the beach! Aaron downed a half pound of mussels and shellfish from Bubba Gumps.
Puddle jumping. Olivia loves to find these along the beach.

California beach babes!
Never would have believed that we would be living in Santa Monica and spending so many evenings at the beach. We are truly blessed.
Random story not related to this photo - while we were playing on the beach , the local pod of dolphins swam through! They swam along the waves right before the broke on the beach. I had never seen dolphins so close. It was amazing and I chose to just enjoy the moment (well, the 10 minutes) rather than fret about recording it or taking photos. They were beautiful.
