Our Disney Princess Turns 2!

This post is a little late...like a month late...but here it is! 

19-22 October 2012 ~ Olivia turns 2! 

You only turn 2 once, right?! So why not go all out?! This year we took Livi to Disneyland for her birthday weekend and ended it with a Toy Story birthday party at home. Although everyone would have come had circumstances allowed, we were grateful to have Lala, Papa, Uncle Jordan and Auntie Lisa come to celebrate with us! There are a bizillion photos and I'm not one to leave any of my favorites out...so here they are! Thank you to everyone for the thoughtful gifts, Skype calls, and birthday wishes! It was a birthday we'll remember for sure! 

I love Disneyland at Halloween time, and these pumpkins were awesome! They had all of Livi's favorite  characters: Winnie the Pooh, Woody, Buzz, and Dumbo!

The line to ride on the Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters was a wee bit long - thanks to a binky and an Auntie Lisa, Livi survived.

Olivia LOVES Buzz, it's so fun to watch her face light up when she sees him during the ride. She doesn't want anything to do with shooting the guns, and she's still quite white knuckled, but at the end of the ride she always wants "more".

Me and my hubby - so sad that I broke these sunglasses, I was the genius that kneeled on them. 

Thanks to Rider Swap, we were all able to take turns riding rides and watching Olivia, and of course riding all the great toddler friendly rides! With me being pregnant and my Dad not much of a thrill seeker - these 4 (Jordan, Mom, Aaron and Lisa) rode quite a few rides together! They even rode Space Mountain a couple extra times just for me! :)

Livi and Papa about to ride the Winnie the Pooh ride! "Honey!"  We had to ride this one 2 times! Thank goodness Lala, Lisa, Jordan and Daddy met up with us so we didn't have to ride it again (they rode it another time with her).

So while riding the Pooh ride, I saw the characters head to their photo spot, so we rushed over! I thought Olivia would love meeting these guys....but not so much. She was okay with Tigger (he was the first one)...

...but got nervous around Rabbit and Eeyore (Lala is tickling her to get her to smile)...

...and by the time we got to Pooh she was a crying mess! 

Thankfully she had her cheer squad to at least get one smile with Winnie the Pooh! 

By far, Dumbo is Livi's favorite ride. I remember pictures of me as a little girl with my grandparents on Dumbo - crazy to see my daughter with my parents. 

Isn't this a darling photo?! Olivia loves to make Dumbo fly up and down and up and down (oh how Papa loved that)!

The ladies on the Carousel - Livi kept signing "horse" and saying "more" the rest of the day.

There was a ginormous line to get a photo taken directly in front of the Giant Mickey Pumpkin, but we opted for the no-line side shot! Happy Halloween! 

Jordan has always wanted to find a candy store named "Candy" - he was in heaven.

Cars Land certainly did not disappoint. A.MA.ZING. The  Radiator Springs Racers was so incredibly fun, and although Lisa, Jordan and Dad had to wake up super early to get in line for fastpasses, it was worth it. Amazing sights and sounds, and the rush of a race at the end! 

We had planned to see the World of Color on our second night, but decided to check out where we would enter and such the night before - as Aaron was asking questions, some guy offered us his Fastpasses! Sweet! He saved us the early morning dash for passes, thank you kind stranger! Aaron found us front and center seats and the show was incredible. I'll blame it on the pregnancy hormones but I got choked up! It was stunning - the lights, the colors, the music - a definite must see.

Day #2! 

I can't get over how young my parents look! 

Ah yes, the crazy Fastpass kings and queen! They were up early, in line before the parks open and literally ran to land us our passes for the day! Thank you thank you early birds!!!

We really thought Livi would be the chosen one - but even with her strong muscles, that sword wouldn't budge! 

Lisa loved introducing Olivia to the Alice in Wonderland ride. The ride actually broke down just as we  were approaching the exit! Thank goodness we got to experience the whole ride! Livi loved the White Rabbit's front door, just her size.

And Livi was loving riding with her aunt and uncle - although she did hit them both in the face with the magic feather as she was waving it around at the beginning!

While Papa, Daddy, Lisa and Jordan rode the Rapids ride, Lala, Mommy and Livi explored A Bug's Land with Liv. She wore the 3D glasses before  the show but refused to wear them during it! Funny girl.

How precious is this?! 

She is her Lala's granddaughter, she loves to spin fast!  A thrill seeker already! 

Mater's Junkyard Jamboree was such a fun ride. I loved it! And so did Livi! Getting whipped around in all directions to some great music! We wanted to ride it again and again! 

They rode the Rapids ride 3 times...or is it 4 Jordan? They were soaked, too bad the photos didn't do them justice! Lisa was so wet she had to buy new pants once it got chilly.

Lala, Lisa, Aaron and Jordan rode the Tower of Terror (man, I missed out on all the fun rides being pregnant!), and Papa and I watched Livi entertain herself with a wipe. She danced and flung it around - the simple things in life, right?

The Pixar parade was darling. We loved the bubbles and squirt guns, not to mention all the characters!

Yeah, so I underestimated how much Disneyland takes out of you during the first trimester of pregnancy. I did fine the first day, but then was in pretty rough shape at the end of the night. Thanks to a diligent mother and Disneyland ambassador, they found me a wheelchair that night to help get me home, and we rented one for the second day. It was a little lame having to be pushed around, but nice to get to the front of lines!

Thank you Baskin Robbins for a beautiful Toy Story ice cream cake! Saved me some work and stress and it was delicious!  Olivia had been practicing blowing out candles for weeks, but of course, come her own cake and she freaked out again (this is the one shot we got of her smiling!). With Mama's help, we managed to get them blown out though.

I love my little Disney princess! I can't believe she's really 2 years old.

Olivia received many many awesome gifts, but this was definitely one of her favorites! Look at that darling smile! "Lalalala" (Cinderella)

Mommy and Daddy gave her her very own Jessie cowgirl hat along with the Toy Story 2 movie. Now her  Toy Story trilogy is complete!

I just love how she's smiling at her Lala. 

She's a little obsessed with looking at herself in the mirror (I'm sure she gets that from her Dad)...too cute! 

Uncle Jordan gave her this hilarious book - and didn't realize there was one sketchy page until he was wrapping it up! Nothing a little creative editing can't fix! Hahaha.
