A Trip to Livermore and the Aquarium!

After Deb and the girls headed back to Utah, and after I managed to get some of the laundry under control, Livi and I decided to take a drive up to Livermore to visit with Michelle and Josh before they move to Kirksville, Missouri. They move the end of June - and as it was, we were only going to get to see them a day and a half; not enough time. Aaron has been working crazy hours anyway, so it was a win win situation: we get to spend more time with Chelle and Josh and Aaron gets to catch up on sleep. The 5 1/2 hour drive isn't bad at all. Olivia is THE best traveler. As long as she has some snacks and her books, she's one happy camper. I am so grateful!

We pulled into Livermore Thursday evening - just in time to catch the end of the Farmer's Market. How we have missed it! Lala and Grandpa were the first to Livi, they met us at the car. We then met up with everyone else on the grass. Although Olivia was excited to see everyone, she wouldn't leave her Lala. Mom and Dad bought me our traditional crepes to share with Liv for dinner. Delicious. It felt so nice to be home in Livermore.

Friday was the Aquarium day! Josh and Lisa hadn't been (well, it's been years since Lisa's gone) - and the rest of us love watching Livi with all the fishes. After a slight detour, (My car consisting of Mom, me, Livi and Lisa was following Dad who got distracted talking to Chelle, Josh and Jordan and he missed the turnoff resulting in a half hour detour), we finally made it to Monterey. It was beautiful there! We wandered around the Aquarium for a couple hours, taking in the sights - the new Jellies exhibit, all of our usual favorites, and of course the touch pools. We even ran into some friends from our ward. Olivia was far more interested in the touch pools this time, although she tired quicker of the exhibits (she had places to go!). She did, however, love watching the baby seahorses with Lala.

We ended the day with a delicious dinner at Bubba Gump's and cookies at Nestle. Thanks to Mom and Dad for a fantastic day!
