Another Thanksgiving in sunny and warm California. Without the real change in seasons, it can be tough to get into the holiday spirit - but nothing a good dose of early Christmas music and the smell of turkey dressing and pumpkin pies cooking can't fix.
We celebrated just the four of us this year, and it was kind of nice to have that smaller and slightly more low key feel. Of course we missed family, but thanks to Skype we were able to see everyone but our brothers on their missions and Lauren who was working. We ate pumpkin pie for breakfast, watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and let the kids watch as much Daniel Tiger and Bubble Guppies as necessary to allow us to get dinner on the table. After a delicious and very satisfying meal it was mandatory nap time. Glorious.

Then it was off to the theater to see Big Hero 6. Though we all started watching the film, only Aaron and Olivia ended up finishing it. Let's just say that Will preferred to "explore" the theater in its entirety; we went up and down the escalators, around every corner, through every hallway, and tried the water at every drinking fountain; we even jumped on every star printed on the main floor. After pumpkin pie for dinner, the kids went to bed and we put our feet up. A fun, festive, and family centered day. Nothing better...except perhaps, more pumpkin pie.
Your table is AMAZING!! I hope your family appreciates you! Thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving with us! It looks like you had a fun day!
